Hi! :) I’m Hannah, currently studying Medicine at the University of Lancashire (you may know them as UCLan). I achieved A*s at A-Level and 9s at GCSE for Biology, Chemistry and Maths, the subjects I tutor in. I’m always happy putting what I’ve learned in college and high school to good use and contributing positively to my students’ confidence and success. I've also always appreciated the straightforward, guaranteed methods that work for maths, and the satisfaction of understanding a process in science to the point of being able to link it to anything, which is what I hope I'll be able to help you do too. I have also had over 300 lessons worth of experience in tutoring for GCSEs and A-Levels professionally, so rest assured you’re in good hands! I enjoy playing rounders and practising mehndi designs in my free time as both an outlet and to improve myself outside of my studies. I look forward to meeting you and helping you succeed!
How Hannah tutors
My lessons are for anyone doing GCSEs or A-Levels. Each lesson is tailored to your preferred timings, learning style, strengths and weaknesses. I’m also a firm believer in trusting the process and having patience in lessons! Typically, each lesson starts with a starter for recap and exam technique, which gets you into the studying mindset before we start a new topic. I may initially work through examples with you to help you understand things better before easing you into tackling the more tricky questions independently. I prepare as many interactive activities as possible for each lesson, like wordsearches, to keep you interested and to check your understanding regularly. We will also set realistic targets together which I will refer back to every now and then, and use when planning my lessons. With time and consistency, these lessons will help you achieve the grade you're aiming for! If you have any further questions about my lessons, feel free to send me a message!
