About Lucas

I am a dedicated and enthusiastic Mathematics and Physics tutor, keen to help students looking to improve their exam results and enable them to become more confident in their respective skills. Having experienced modern KS4 and KS5 exams, I can guide students through the process effectively. I am currently studying Aerospace Engineering at the University of Southampton, applying my maths and physics skills in a technical and fast paced environment. I believe that anyone willing to put in the work can enjoy solving problems, and use their skills obtained at the KS4/5 level to develop and enhance their career prospects.

How Lucas teaches

I believe that the best way to nail exams is with first-hand, past-paper practise and experience. Typically, given a problem topic, I will run over some examples in previous years papers, and allow the student to provide their approach and then give feedback on this. We will work through problems together following some key steps. Creating an open environment, students can ask questions at any point and I will try my best to help with any further queries. Alternatively, students can of course provide their own problems. I am also open to set additional work on request to further develop a students skills and confidence.
